Educational Qualification

Assistant Loco Pilot: Matriculation pass plus (a) ITI in specified trades/Act Apprenticeship, OR (b) Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical/Electronic s/Automobile Engineering in lieu of ITI.
Train Manager/Goods Guard : Degree from recognized university or its equivalent.
TechnicianIII/DSL/Mech.: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic (Repair and Maintenance of Heavy Vehicles) /Mechanic Automobile (Advanced Diesel Engine) / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Tractor Mechanic / Welder / Painter (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
TechnicianIII/C and W : Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of fitter/carpenter/welde r/plumber/pipe fitter(OR) Matriculation /SSLC plus CCAA in the trades mentioned above.
Technician-III/TL : Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Electrician / Wireman / Mechanic HT, LT Equipments and Cable Jointing / Electronics Mechanic (OR) Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

Age Limit

Assistant Loco Pilot: 18 to 42 years
Train Manager/Goods Guard : 18 to 42 years
TechnicianIII/DSL/Mech.: 18 to 42 years
TechnicianIII/C and W : 18 to 42 years
Technician-III/TL : 18 to 42 years
3 years for OBC
5 years for SC/ST
